Twice more, the {{CTeam|SFBS}} clawed their way to the [[Hellmouth II Cup]] final, and twice more, the universe extracted a pound of flesh for payment. The two [[Hellmouth II Cup]] finals that the Boat Shoes lost would come to overshadow their dream [[Hellmouth II/Season 1]] season, and would become the [[Hellmouth II Cup]] Boat Shoes that everyone remembered: a team whose successes only seemed to feed their failures.

In [[Hellmouth II/Season 9]], the Boat Shoes finally survived the gauntlet of the postseason and made it to the [[Hellmouth II Cup]] series, facing off against their old nemesis, the {{CTeam|LBFB}}. But they couldn't scrape together more than a single win, and fell 1-4 to the Birds.
