The Championship Series, which would come to be known as the [[Grapes of Wrath]], was a far cry from the [[Klein/Season 1]] Chews-Mingos postseason matchup, where the Grape Chews had kept up hopes, grinding their way to a Game 7 showdown, and looking like they actually stood a chance.

This [[Grapes of Wrath]] Championship Series was different. The Mingos puffed their cigars intently, utilized hands-free beer helmets to increase their focus, and exhibited a cold fury colder than <s>Minnesota</s> Wisconsin in February.

The Grape Chews were swept in 4 straight games, iced out of the pennant ''hard'' by the Flamingos, in an act of pure, cathartic vengeance for decades of annoyance. The 4-0 sweep was a statement that the rivalry was, and always had been, a one-sided affair.
