Hellmouth III
Season 3 Day 49: The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Day 48: poised to potentially win the division over the Birds
Day 49: same win-loss record as the Birds... but loses the tiebreaker to the Birds, to lose the division. Then, lose another tiebreaker to the Albuquerque Solarpunks (also same win-loss), to lose out on the first wild card spot. Then, lose a final tiebreaker to the Phoenix Freshrolls (also same win-loss), to lose out on the final wild card spot and be eliminated entirely from the postseason.
(Made all the more unfortunate by a late-season rally into the lead, followed immediately by a slump that erased all progress and dropped them back into a tie for the division title)
The Great Salt Lake Civil War
The Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day forced a decision on the Ganja Gambit, and whether the team should embrace the resulting Enlightenment or ignore the illusory siren call of the Devil's Lettuce.
