The Cloud Crown is a rivalry between two Peninsula Expansion League teams, the 
Sand City Sidewinders
and the 
Aptos Investigators
, who both enjoy sunsets and long walks on the beach.
All matches between these two rival teams are held on the beach at sunset, as per tradition. Games routinely carry on late into the night. On several occasions, players for the Sidewinders or Investigators have been swept out to sea during matches.
