Pro gloria et fama et fortuito infamatus est is the motto of the San Francisco Boat Shoes . It is a Latin phrase meaning "For glory and fame and a chance to become infamous."

This stands in contrast to the motto of the Sugar Grove Eavesdroppers , Sic transit gloria mundi (fame is fleeting).
