Seattle Courage

Seattle Courage refers to courage gained through ignorance of the odds or lack of information. The term is a reference to the Seattle Sneakers , who love dangerous hobbies and who actively reject all knowledge of odds. (Often contrasted with Jersey Courage.) While the term does not necessarily imply success or failure, it generally implies an expectation of failure (due to the association with the Sneakers).
