When the Davenport Cliff Divers and Moss Landing Daredevils first joined the league, each thought the other was a team full of brave, fearless Golly players who would pull jaw-dropping stunts or defy the limits of human ability.

However, during their first match together, the Cliff Divers and Daredevils each realized the other shared a mutual cowardice, as well as a sharp instinct for self-preservation, and the two became fast friends.

To help both teams preserve a facade of bravery for the rest of the league, they formed a secret Alliance of Cowardice group chat, which they used to organize "Extreme Adventure Trips" together, which consisted of the two teams staying inside binge-watching non-scary television shows while authoring fake social media posts about their weekend adventures bungee jumping or tightrope walking.
