The aftermath of Toroidal/Season 15 was a long, protracted, and melodramatic downward slide for the 
San Francisco Boat Shoes
. The team once nicknamed the GOAT Shoes had become a hollowed-out shell in the Toroidal Cup, their confidence irrevocably broken. The last whimper of their Toroidal Cup ambitions came in the final Toroidal/Season 24, where they entered as the lowly #4 seed. They were swept out of the first round by the 
Sugar Grove Eavesdroppers
and showed no fight, made no dramatic last stand. The team that had won six Hellmouth Cups and once had hopes of repeating their prior glory had been unceremoniously swept aside in a fitting end to their cursed Donut run.
