The Unwest League Championship Series saw them face an unexpected double-edged blade: the Mobile Wheels and the Jersey OSHA Violations . In a cosmic irony, their gritty football-style tactical play failed to account for the gritty determination and well-polished tactics of the OSHA Violations, who overcame the Curse of the Silly Goat and violated their way to their franchise's first Cup.

The Flickers, top seed though they were, found their well-laid plans disrupted and their trick plays failing. They were knocked aside in a brutal display of emergent chaos, as the Violations powered their way to a messy win and even messier celebration.
