The DCD.png Davenport Cliff Divers established a Flawless Dynasty in the Dragon Cup in Dragon/Season 19. The championship match between the ST.png Sutro Tower and the DCD.png Davenport Cliff Divers took place on February 20, 2022, or 2022-02-20. Both teams believed that a number that consisted only of 0s and 2s had special significance, although no one could agree what that meant.

Before the championship series, the Cliff Divers consulted a numerologist in the Hellmouth Community College Mathematics Department, who informed the cliff divers that the number 20220220 could be interpreted as a ternary number, and that when it was converted to base 10, it became the number 5046. The Cliff Divers, who did not mention the meeting with the numerologist to anyone, went on to win the series 4-2 over the Sutro Tower, and established a Dragon Cup Dynasty. In an emotional post-game press conference, the Cliff Divers revealed the four-digit number that had kept them going and provided the team with a guiding light to lift them over the Sutro Tower to their second dynasty: 5046.

Unfortunately, no one at the press conference had any idea what the Cliff Divers were talking about. Several days after the press conference, the Cliff Divers released a 137-page press release containing a brief primer on number theory, counting theory, and several homework problems. The reporter who was first to finish the homework problems finally understood the meaning of 5046, and wrote a 128-page newspaper article explaining it to everyone else. The reporter experienced a total loss of sanity after writing the article.

The confusion surrounding where 5046 came from prompted Gardner Petition Forest Tyndal, the public relations officer for the Cliff Divers, to say the following: "I can safely say that no one understands 5046. If you think you understand 5046, you don't understand 5046."

Repeated attempts to locate the original numerologist who identified the integer 5046 have failed; the desert nomads who make up the Mathematics Department collective are highly protective of their own.
