, and the result was a messy slaughter. The Arsonists brought fire, but the Butchers brought knives. The scarlet patterns of Tucson were not chaotic spatters; they were brutally efficient, the cellular automata equivalent of a butcher's cleaver sectioning a side of beef.
The mysterious Brake Master Cylinder used increasingly grim and grisly imagery to describe the action on the grid as the series went on. The fire of the Arsonists was messy and wild, no match for Tucson's methodical dismantlement. The "Red Rum" series, so-called because is a bloody stain on the collective's memory.
