Team Character

Industrious, independent, and quiet, but with a temper that is prone to erupt without warning, the Hayward Pipelines are the team you call if you need to get something done. They draw upon their wide pool of connections with contractors, construction workers, captains of industry, and even circus animals, calling all of them "a buddy of mine." The Pipelines will usually begin referring to new acquaintances as "buddy" within 5-10 minutes of meeting them.

Pipeline Network

Over many years, the Hayward Pipelines have methodically designed and installed an illicit underground pipeline network extending across most of the City of Hayward. The secret pipeline network is used to siphon pressure from the City of Hayward's pipeline network, converts it to potential energy, and stores it in large flywheels, providing the Pipelines with huge energy reserves - power that can be put toward future schemes, or sold back to the City of Hayward.

Salt Obsession

The Hayward Pipelines are obsessed with salt, which has an intoxicating effect on them. Every player on the Hayward Pipelines has a favorite salt lick, and Pipelines players have been known to travel thousands of miles to visit their favorite salt lick. Opposing teams have been known, from time to time, to spread salt throughout the grid to distract pipelines players. This practice has been strictly banned in the Peninsula League, due to the many and varied effects that salt has on other teams.
