Season 16 saw the first-ever expansion of the Golly league. Four new teams joined the league, one new team in each division:
- Cold Fire - Salt Lake Turbulence
- Cold Water - Phoenix Freshrolls
- Hot Fire - Sugar Grove Eavesdroppers
- Hot Water - Albuquerque Solarpunks
