started off on the wrong foot, looking like they might have an historically bad season, but their recovery was just as dramatic. The

- The Ft. Worth Piano Tuners
(Cold Water) and Detroit Grape Chews
(Hot Fire) earned the nickname "Least Worst" after they won their division with a win-loss record below .500 (24-25), the first time it had happened in either division

- The big mid-season winning streak by the Seattle Sneakers
was powered by outscoring their opponents in a big way
