- In the Cold Fire division the

maintained a consistent grip on first place until the last few games of the season, losing it to the 
Elko Astronauts
. The 
Seattle Sneakers
spent most of the season in hibernation.
- In the Cold Water division the
Jersey OSHA Violations
were eager to make up for a disappointing Season 4 performance, and they didn't disappoint. Cold Water was a horse race between the Jersey OSHA Violations
and the 
Tucson Butchers
, with the Butchers taking the division by a hair.
- The
Milwaukee Flamingos
held on to first place in Hot Fire for all but a few days of Season 5. The 
San Francisco Boat Shoes
were in hibernation with the Sneakers, probably.
- In the Hot Water division the race for first in the division was a close three-way race (the
Alewife Arsonists
were derailed early in the season by a big losing streak, and never recovered)
