Team Character

The Phoenix Freshrolls were the kids who brushed every single tooth, front and back, finished all of their homework before watching television, laid out their school shoes the night before, and brought a treat for the teacher. The Tucson Butchers , who grew up next to the Phoenix Freshrolls, were the kids who wandered around looking for bugs, slept outside, climbed trees, and hunted for tigers with cans of tuna.

The Orlando Business Majors of the Cold League

In a column published in a local Hellmouth newspaper, the Phoenix Freshrolls were referred to disparagingly as the "Orlando Business Majors of the Cold League." The team was delighted by the nickname, despite it being intended maliciously, and kept rolling with it, trademarking it and selling licensed gear featuring the slogan. It is the most popular item at the Freshrolls shop. (It is the only item, also.)

The Orlando Business Majors considered suing the Phoenix Freshrolls as soon as the Freshrolls joined the league, for a cut of the profits the Freshrolls made from the use of the Business Majors brand, but between the hassle of figuring out the legal paperwork, and the library book on business law skipping over copyright infringement in favor of an in-depth coverage of patent law, and the homework assignments due next week, the Business Majors gave up on their dreams of filing their first lawsuit.

Hellmouth Cup Summary

• In Season 16 the Phoenix Freshrolls were the #4 seed in the Cold League. They were swept in the Cold League Division Series by Elko Astronauts .
• In Season 17 the Phoenix Freshrolls shattered the all-time Partytime speed run record, reaching Partytime on Day 41, faster than any other team in Hellmouth Cup history. They also racked up a losing streak of 10 games (Day 32 - Day 41), which, although it had previously been accomplished by the Elko Astronauts in Season 12 and had been topped by the Delaware Corporate Shells abysmal Season 6 losing streak of 14 games, it was a notable accomplishment by a new Golly expansion team.
• In Season 20 the Phoenix Freshrolls were the #3 seed in the Cold League. They were knocked out in the Cold League Championship Series by the Long Beach Flightless Birds .
• In Season 21 the Phoenix Freshrolls tied the Ft. Worth Piano Tuners for first to Partytime on Day 44.
• In Season 23 the Phoenix Freshrolls were the #2 seed in the Cold League. They were knocked out in the Cold League Division Series by their Peppersauce Crown rivals, the Tucson Butchers .
