The SGE.png Sugar Grove Eavesdroppers are a Golly team from Sugar Grove, West Virginia. Sugar Grove is located in the National Radio Quiet Zone. The Eavesdroppers are an expansion team that joined the Golly league in Season 16 of the Hellmouth Cup.

The Eavesdroppers are antisocial by nature but have a charisma that many describe as hypnotic. Being under the gaze of the Eavesdroppers has been described by many as a feeling of being magnetized or supercharged with electricity. The Eavesdroppers have a heightened sensitivity to electronics and electromagnetic waves.

Having spent most of their existence in the National Radio Quiet Zone, a zone where the use of electronics equipment or radio-emitting devices is severely restricted, the Droppers are extremely sensitive to environments with radio frequency waves. They utilize large faraday cages when traveling for road games to help block radio waves. Many Droppers are self-sufficient agrarians and carpenters, and disappear into the woods each offseason. No one knows where they disappear to, who they eavesrop on, or what their motivations are.

The AA.png Alewife Arsonists loss to the SGE.png Sugar Grove Eavesdroppers in Toroidal/Season 5 League Division Series was a paranoid nightmare for the Arsonists. The Eavesdroppers' strategy was information warfare: there was no need to counter patterns, because they perfectly anticipated every move. Like mind control, the Eavesdroppers could read the Arsonists' collective stream of consciousness. The mysterious Brake Master Cylinder's pirate broadcast from deep within Alewife Station was plagued by phantom signals and weird, whispering static. Fans in the garage swore they could hear the Arsonists' own chaotic thoughts being played back to them. The Arsonists became hesitant and confused, their patterns sputtered. They second-guessed themselves into a silent, unremarkable defeat. Since then, Brake Master Cylinder will start each broadcast of postseason matches against the Eavesdroppers with a full minute of pure, cleansing static to "clear the lines".
