The Detroit Grape Chews have been in the league since Season 1.
The Grape Chews have earned the nickname The Choke Artists because, while they consistently win the Hot Fire division title and make the playoffs, they have never appeared in, let alone won, a Hellmouth Cup series. Fans of visiting teams will often taunt the Grape Chews with jokes about "choking on a grape."

Team Character
The Grape Chews are best known for their propensity for starting fistfights over virtually any perceived slight - Grape Chews players are known for their unique mix of aggression and thin skin. During games, it is common for fans of both teams to taunt Grape Chews who are on the grid in order to rile up the players and get them to start fistfights. This technique has never failed to provoke an on-field fistfight.
Arcana Interpretation
The arcana of the Grape Chews is the Blasted Tower - the symbol of ambition constructed on faulty premises. A fitting arcana for the team that is known as the Masters of Choke.
Midwest Crown and Milwaukee Flamingos Rivalry

The rivalry between the Detroit Grape Chews and the Milwaukee Flamingos is one of the most storied rivalries in all of Golly. Much of the Detroit Grape Chews' team identity has been formed from the rivalry, and evidence has shown that the on-field fistfights during Grape Chews-Flamingos matches are more intense and result in more injuries than fistfights between the Grape Chews and any other team.
The Milwaukee Flamingos have sought to establish an identity independent of the Grape Chews, as a benevolent flock of birds, which has led to increased tensions and an intensification of the rivalry. After their rivals won the Hellmouth Cup in Season 9, Grape Chews players become obsessed with the Milwaukee Flamingos, reportedly talking about nothing else in the clubhouse, and the Grape Chews' performance suffered as a result - for only the second time in 10 seasons, the Grape Chews missed the playoffs.
