The Sugar Grove Eavesdroppers are a Golly team from Sugar Grove, West Virginia. Sugar Grove is located in the National Radio Quiet Zone.

The Eavesdroppers are an expansion team that joined the Golly league in Season 16.

Team Character

The Eavesdroppers are antisocial by nature but have a charisma that many describe as hypnotic. Being under the gaze of the Eavesdroppers has been described by many as a feeling of being magnetized or supercharged with electricity. The Eavesdroppers have a heightened sensitivity to electronics and electromagnetic waves.

The Eavesdroppers have spent most of their existence in the National Radio Quiet Zone, a zone where the use of electronics equipment or radio-emitting devices is severely restricted. They chose to settle in Sugar Grove to help focus their senses and channel their eavesdropping capabilities.

The Eavesdroppers are self-sufficient agrarians and carpenters who would happily retire to forage and build a cabin in the woods, if only they could escape their for-life contract compelling them to continue eavesdropping. Although many have attempted to obtain more information about the terms of the Eavesdroppers' contract, no one knows who the Eavesdroppers ultimately work for, who they eavesdrop on, or what their motivations are.
